A forklift truck making a left turn from Mt. Roberts Street onto Thane Road at the "Rock Dump" just south of Juneau was a little too tall to pass under the overhead utility cables that pass through the area Thursday afternoon. The forklift truck almost tipped over as a result of snagging an overhead cable.

No injuries were reported, and damage to ACS's communications cables was estimated at under $10,000 as a result of the accident which closed Thane road for about an hour and a half.

Two large forklift trucks and an AEL&P bucket truck were used to untangle the forklift from the wires without further incident.
